“Ne Quid Nimis” become known under this name when released the first album “NOSTALGIE” in Sibiu, Romania with as a result of collaboration with Roton house music.

Ana Chitiul, with a musical tradition at home (her father was a violinist in Baia Mare) she began to sing when she was 4. She began High School of Arts in Cluj. She graduates Popular School of Arts in Bistrita too where She defines her voice. She meets Florin CHITIUL and after a musical and non-musical idyllic episode (that lasted quite a while) she married him. As a consequence of Florin’s idea, Ana discover herself some poetic talent in writing lyrics for Florin’s music. Her lyrics betray sensibility and love ("for someone beloved", Ana says).  Other times Ana consults Florin because Ne Quid Nimis will is to give realism and reduce induction of false emotion in their songs.

Florin Chitiul from childhood loves the accordion and later the piano. Helped by his grandmother in the piano’s discovery he played it daily some hours and began to compose defined songs for entertainment and his emotional comfort. Then his new music was known just in his friends circle. His vision about music have had a high degree of independence too so that the songs was not always understood.

  Ne quid Nimis began as a family business. Therefore the family life is varied, piquant and fantasist too. But we must consider Bernice’s influence too whose quotidian and artistic influence is not forgettable: Ana & Florin dedicated the NOSTALGIE album to their daughter and when she was 4, she has recorded her first children song “I am a little star”.

The recording time is emotional but concentration to final artistic product induce a technical ambience and some times is needed a day or two to remark the right way into and of a song. The recordings are performed in the personal studio but this, paradoxically, determine to finalize heavily the songs because any time is a place for ameliorate the vocal, orchestral and even thematic line of the song, witch is not the case in a rented studio. The songs are initially instrumental composed and later the vocal part is added. Just a few songs are elaborate vice versa. All the artistic and non-artistic work that you see is performed by Ana & Florin CHITIUL.

 Ne Quid Nimis plans to continue its musical work to enjoy so many music lovers it is possible to reach their hearts via CDs, MCs, TV and radio stations.
